Loosely inspired by the infamous serial killer Raman Raghav (who terrorized Mumbai in the 1960s), Kashyap drags the story into modern-day Mumbai. We have two protagonists: Ramanna (Nawazuddin Siddiqui), a psychotic, drug-addled killer who believes he is doing God’s work by punishing the "sinful," and Raghav (Vicky Kaushal), a corrupt, coke-snorting cop who is just as morally bankrupt as the criminal he hunts. Their paths cross in a cat-and-mouse game where the lines between lawman and lawbreaker blur into oblivion.
