Through a case study analysis, this paper argues that while platforms like Isaimini undermine legal revenue streams, they also function as informal archives that preserve regional dubbed versions (Tamil, Telugu) often unavailable on legal streaming services. The paper concludes that the demand for localized content drives piracy, suggesting that legal distributors failed to meet linguistic market needs.
