Renault airbag ECUs are notoriously finicky. After a crash, they lock permanently. Using a standard scanner, you cannot unlock them. However, within the suite, there is often a dedicated module (sometimes a standalone .exe file) that communicates directly with the Airbag ECU via K-Line or CAN to reset the crash data to zero. This saves mechanics hundreds of euros versus buying a new ECU.
