The plot follows two constantly bickering brothers, Walter (Josh Hutcherson) and Danny (Jonah Bobo). When their father (Tim Robbins) leaves them in the care of their older sister Lisa (Kristen Stewart), Danny discovers an old, mechanical board game in the basement.
The lip-syncing isn't perfect in the early reels, but the emotional synchronization is flawless. You never feel disconnected from the characters’ fear or joy.
