By 2021, however, the IAP-205 was already an aging platform. Released in 2014, it had a 6-7 year lifecycle. Aruba had announced that the IAP-205 would enter the End-of-Support (EoS) phase, making 2021 one of the last years to receive critical firmware updates without a support contract extension.
