Jennys Odd Adventure 5 Slipperyt Best [WORKING]

A small parade of creatures shuffled forward: a hedgehog in a tiny scarf, a cat with whiskers that flickered like bookmarks, and an elderly woman whose walking stick hummed softly. Each had a single slip of paper pinned to their coat: their “best” pebble found at the end of their own journeys. The slipper encouraged them as they each took gentle turns sliding toward a shallow pool lined with pebbles. When the creatures stepped into the pool, the water rose only to their ankles and revealed a single pebble glowing just beneath the surface. Each took their pebble and smiled as if finding the pebble made a small ledger balance in their chests tilt back to even.
